With baby Rio due soon, this is my last week of teaching all of my private students until October. So, instead of teaching one last lesson, two of my students invited Ravyn over for a play date.
Now, I've been here long enough to know that you always bring a gift when you are invited into a Japanese home, but I had no idea the other mothers would spend all evening and morning preparing snacks for the occassion!!!! And aside from the potato chips, everything was homemade! Of course Martha Stewart came to mind, but I've learned that beauty in presentation of anything and everything is a way of life here in Japan. I enjoyed every minute!

It appears you have had some great adventures and made some life long friendships. Okinawa seems to be a wonderful place for families. What a wonderful experience for you all.
