We've been wanting to get Ravyn a bike since the beginning of the summer, but at $100+ at the Japanese stores and no bikes at the BX, we were out of luck...until yesterday. Yesterday was the grand opening of AAFES Toyland, which basically means that the BX has decided it is now the Xmas season so they remove all of the seasonal merchandise and replace it with toys and other Xmas necessities.
So, after school, Ravyn walked in to a brand new bike!!! Once she had all of her gear on we headed outside. Now, Jamie and I weren't expecting much because she has only ridden tricycles at school and absolutely refuses to put her feet on the pedals. But after a few minutes on the bike, and a tantrum to only push it down the street, she found her freedom and is now a bike riding maniac!!! So much so, that after spending an hour outside, with rain pouring on and off, we came in and she now rides her bike around our downstairs endlessly. (Note to self- when buying a house, make sure it has a floor plan that is conducive to roller skating and bike riding!).
Still learning which way to push the pedals.
She's a pro, minus not looking where she's going.
