Ravyn loves her "choo choo train!"
Last year we got this same photo with Santa, but since it was New Year's Santa couldn't join us.
2008 came without a bang around here, but that's okay with us. Jamie celebrated at work by drinking a Red Bull with 8 of his coworkers while Ravyn and I watched New Year's in Sydney (2 hours earlier) and were in bed by the time it rolled around here.
New Year's day was a little more festive. We went to a local botanical garden that puts on a huge Xmas festival each year. As with all other festivals, it was complete with a laser show, fireworks, and loads of fun.
There was only one problem with the night. It was freezing!!!! It had to have been the coldest night this year. Normally not a problem other than we sent all of our winter clothes to storage, so we were left with 2 lone beanies that came with Jamie from Korea.
So, you ask, "Just exactly how cold was it?" In the moment, I would have told you it was freezing with 20mph winds!!!!! In reality, I had Jamie check the temperature at work, it was only 50 degrees!!! Oh, the games island life will play on your mind.
