At our golf course on base they have a turtle pond. I don't know if there were turtles there to begin with, but it has become the golden gates to many a turtle whose family has moved away. Jamie had bought some turtle food to take and feed them, but while we were there the course attendant stopped to see what we were doing and told me that they will actually come out of the water when they hear the snack cart stop because the leftovers often get tossed in.
Since the sun was setting we only saw a few, but we'll go back again to get some shots of what it's really like.
