Hurlburt Field here we come!! Why so excited you ask? Because Hurlburt Field is located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, in the pan-handle, near Pensacola. Jamie has actually even visited there once with his good friend Jeff and loved it. There are numerous reasons why I'm sure we'll love it. One, it is on the beach. For all of those who talk to me regularly, you know I was regretting the decision to leave here. While I still have mixed feelings about leaving, it is a lot easier knowing that I am going to a place that has the same weather, scenery, etc. Two, we knew if we were moving back to the states, we wanted to buy a house. Who wants to buy a house in New Jersey when you can buy one in sunny Florida. Three, and a selfish reason, I have a friend from high school with a son the same age as Ravyn, so we don't have to depend on our Air Force appointed sponsor (AF sponsors are supposed to help with everything, but usually sponsor nothing but anxiety). And lastly, I'm guessing we will have more visitors than any other place we've been stationed. : ) Once again, if you know me you know I secretly strive to be like Martha Stewart. Bring on the house guests!!
We'll keep you posted on all of the happenings. The official move will take place sometime in Apr/May.
