It was my first try at refinishing a piece of furniture and the perfect answer to containing my messy desk.
Little did I know it would turn into this!
This is Rio sitting on top of the sliding keyboard tray watching Elmo! I found him like this after I took a little too long in the restroom. : )
Who would have thought an 18-month old would be so observant of his sister that he learned how to turn this on himself? I guess I was naive. You see that colorful box next to the monitor? Well, that is actually a bunch of cartridges that Ravyn can use to access the Internet while blocking out all of the stuff she shouldn't touch. So, for example, she has an Elmo cartridge that when she locks it in it will connect her directly to the Sesame Street website. I never thought Rio would know what to do with it, but what do parents know anyway?: ) I guess I'll have to start giving him computer time too.
