Last week, we got to see a childhood friend who was in the area for a conference. We decided to meet at a karaoke cafe near his hotel. After a long drive, Ravyn and I made a dash for the bathroom before we even said hello. When we came out, the guys, Jamie and our friend Bryan, informed me that we had been asked to be part of the restaurant's promotional video. So, we got to sample a lot of great food, for free, and Ravyn got to sing on stage. I'm not sure I'll ever see the commercial, but I'm curious what it will look like. It's only too bad that Ravyn showed her appreciation for everything by getting sick on the way out. I should mention that she hadn't been feeling good all night, but the return appearance of a Shirley Temple is never a good thing.

Even when she is sick, Ravyn is ready to take the microphone and head for the stage and the spotlight. She is such a champion!
