But let's take a closer look at the photo. Because we took the photo before Ravyn and Rio's school Christmas show, I thought it would be nice to have them dressed in coordinating white tops and black bottoms. Do you spot something that doesn't belong? Yep, that's Ravyn in her purple, sparkle shirt and rainbow street shoes. She got so upset that she wasn't wearing a festive Christmas outfit, my usual, that she refused to put on what I brought! Here's to better luck next year..

ah, sweet memories!! Meredith the young child who had the strongest opinions about what she would wear or not wear. There was no compromise... And then came Ravyn. I agree with Ravyn, her purple outfit is great! The other 3999 girls can wear red and green--Ravyn is wearing purle. Hooray for making choices, for strong women, and for a great mom who knows the value of a strong, independent child. Great photo!
