Happy Halloween

For Halloween, we let Ravyn choose what she wanted to carve into her pumpkin and she chose Angry Birds!  It definitely wasn’t easy and Mom ended up doing most of the work, but it turned out pretty well, along with the traditional jack-o-lantern.IMG_7454IMG_7456IMG_7459

This year Ravyn was a mermaid and Rio a pirate.  And, I can’t forget mummy Grammie!

Halloween is always hard in our neighborhood because every house sits on a half-acre lot making for way more walking than anyone wants.  For the past few years we have driven to a small gated community where the houses are close, but this year I thought we’d try a different area.

Turns out, it was the worst, so we loaded everyone in the car and went to our usual spot.  Besides being a little late, walking through a patch of sand burrs, and having to cut off the bottom of Ravyn’s costume to get rid of them…..we had a blast!!

*After cutting off Ravyn’s mermaid tail, she was really upset.  I bent down to tell her it would be okay, to which she replied, “But, Mommy, I look like a tadpole!”  It took every ounce of me not to laugh out loud. : )
