Mr. Fancy Pants

Last week when Ravyn got home from school, she found this!
A strange little elf had placed himself high atop a chair on our dining room table!
We all thought this was very strange, so we opened the book to see if we could find out what was going on.
It turns out that "Mr. Fancy Pants" was sent to our family to look over us during the holidays. Everyday leading up to Christmas, Mr. Fancy Pants watches us all day and reports to Santa Claus each night. In the morning he finds a new place to rest and may do silly things to make us smile. Since his first day, he has been spotted on the dining room table, in the Christmas tree, and today we found him sitting on top of our wall clock!
He has definitely been a fun addition to our family. We had a hard time figuring out a name for him, but thankfully Dad is good with things like that. Ravyn also decided that it was very strange for Santa to dress a "boy" elf in a "girl's" skirt (see photo above), so Mr. Fancy Pants made sure he didn't wear that again. Ravyn also tried to question why we were doing this because he is just pretend, but I told her I didn't know what she was talking about.: ) I wasn't going to hurt Mr. Fancy Pants' feelings.
If you want to adopt your own elf or read more about the tradition, you can read about it here.

Mr. Fancy Pants looks like a fun friend to have around the house, specially since he is a friend of Santa. Ravyn is a smart, tough cookie. I can't wait to meet Mr. Fancy Pants!!
