One nice thing about Ravyn’s school is that they try not to do traditional fundraising, as in candy sales. Instead, children are given an envelope and asked to have people sponsor them in the Starathon, a day in which the kids walk around the bus circle and participate in other fun activities.
In total, the school raised over $15,000. Ravyn personally raised $50, which won her a snow cone and a dance party with the other students that also raised that much. I’m not sure how much the top student raised, but I do know that their prize was to throw a pie in the vice-principal’s face!!
The students were so excited as they walked out to get started!
They lined up for a quick pep rally from Mr. and Mrs. Savage the PE teachers.
And then they were off! No walking for Ravyn. She wanted to run!
But realized it was really hot!
So she walked by Mrs. Savage to get sprayed down!
When she wasn’t running, there were dance breaks,
water breaks,
