I think I got so excited that we could go off base that I forgot to let all of you know.
Yes, we are now free, thank goodness, although active duty members have many new rules. Basically, there is no drinking off base for anyone on active duty and everyone must be in a residence from 10pm to 5am, unless traveling to work. So far we haven't heard of any problems with these new rules and hope to keep it that way.
