Ravyn's last day at school

I knew the day would come when we would have to say goodbye to everyone, but nothing could prepare me for the flood of emotions. While Ravyn understood that we were leaving Okinawa, she did not understand that we wouldn't be able to go back anytime we wanted and that none of her friends would be coming with her. Of course I understood all of these things and was a total mess.
We gave each class a small plant to grow and nurture for us and Ravyn gave her classmates a special snack.
Here is Ravyn with her current teacher Ms. Nancy and her assistant Ms. Sabrina.
And here is Ravyn with her first teacher Ms. Rieko.

When Ravyn came to her class she was not quite two-years-old, still in diapers, barely talking, but more outgoing than the majority of the other kids in her class. With Ms. Rieko's love and support, she moved into the older classroom talking non-stop and eager to mimic her new classmates.
And who could forget Ms. Naru. Ravyn loves her Ms. Naru. Ms. Naru is actually one of Ms. Rieko's assistant's that Ravyn had an incredible bond with.

I am so thankful that Ravyn got to spend that time she did at East-West Montessori. All of the staff taught her many new lessons, but more importantly cared for and nurtured her into a beautiful young girl. The school and it's teachers will forever hold a special space in my heart.
