Since we are currently living out of a hotel, my friend Carrie has been great about getting us out of the room and showing us some of the attractions in the area. Last week, Carrie took us to the National Naval Aviation Museum.
As you can see, it is huge and filled with more planes than you can imagine. Ravyn even got to sit in the cockpit of a Blue Angel!
They also had many hands-on displays from jump seats, to mock Navy ships, to a replica of small-town Pensacola during World War II, complete with volunteers who actually lived in the area during that time.
And, even though we are back in the states, we still enjoyed reading the history of the Battle of Okinawa.
