Farm Tales- Gardening Day

Hurlburt Field has a great summer reading program for children called "Farm Tales" with weekly activities as well as prizes for reading books. This week's activity was Gardening Day.
Ravyn got to make a got to make her own starter pots out of toilet paper rolls.
And then planted sunflowers, sweet peas, green beans, and pumpkin seeds.
Of course, we had to bring them home to the hotel, but we are trying our best to get them to sprout.
After planting she got to make a garden stepping stone. I was so thrilled that I would have something great to bring to our new house, but was informed that the stones were going to stay at the library to create a nature trail. I'll admit I was disappointed, but I know Ravyn will be ecstatic to be able to go and see "her" stone when the path is finished.

Next week: Golf Day
