Moving Day

After a non-stop weekend of painting, our belongings arrived on Monday. Two-months of PCS-ing was finally over and I was SO happy to see all of our things.
It was a hectic day complete with a mad dash to find the TV, so the Dish Network man could set up our system, only to find out that the power cord was not attached, but in another box in which all "parts" are put. Three crates later, we found everything and got the TV set up, which was a delight at the end of the day.
Especially when the end of the day looked like this!!

This is what we were left with. An 18 X 33 foot living room piled high with boxes. Yes, this shipment was only our household goods from Okinawa, no furniture!
Thankfully, Grammie and Papa Doug will be here in two days to help with the kids while I unpack and Jamie is at work. Oh the life!
And, I almost forgot! In between our marathon painting, we bought a second car! So here they are:
Jamie's Scion xB and my Honda Odyssey.

I wouldn't say that either one of these are our dream cars, but they've been a great addition. The Scion is what we got when we came back to the States. We knew we wanted to pay cash to keep our credit squeaky clean and I wanted it to be able to fit all of us comfortably.
For myself, I knew I wanted a Honda. I looked at the Pilot, but when we got inside, it was just too small. The Odyssey fits all of us and two adults comfortably in the 3rd row seat. I said I would never own a minivan, but I absolutely LOVE my car (and Jamie does too.)
