Friday was the annual Christmas Show for Ravyn's school. We all arrived at the local community hall and took our seats in front of the beautiful curtain.

Ravyn's class sang two songs, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer (in Japanese) and Do you Hear What I Hear. I don't know what the other parents heard, but Ravyn didn't sing a note. Instead,

Ravyn's class sang two songs, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer (in Japanese) and Do you Hear What I Hear. I don't know what the other parents heard, but Ravyn didn't sing a note. Instead,

she pulled her hat on and off her face,

sucked her thumb,

threw the hat on the ground (and got it taken away by the teacher),

and twirled her hair.

Oh well, at least she wasn't the kid curled up in a ball on the far-right side of the stage.
All of this after Ravyn's teacher had come to me the day before saying that she was mature enough to move into the older classroom!!!
