The ceremony started with each child introducing themselves. Each child came forward by themselves and stated, "My name is ...," while signing it in sign language at the same time. As you can imagine, some students were too embarrassed to say anything and some told everyone they couldn't remember their name. Ravyn was able to remember what she had to say, but the sign language turned into a bashful hand fidget that made her look absolutely adorable.

After the introductions, it was on with the show.
There was lots of singing

While I was off chasing Rio, Jamie stood with the other fathers as videographer.
You see those hands? They look cute and innocent, but what she was doing was picking off every speck of nail polish that she begged me to put on so that she could look beautiful for her show! Doesn't every parent want to watch their child pick at their nails during an entire performance?! Completely annoying and I promise it will never happen again. : )
At the end of the night it was time for the actual promotion.
At the end of the night it was time for the actual promotion.
As Ravyn walked in, she received her certificate from Ms. Yolonda, the school director.
And here she is proudly walking to her seat.
Technically, she she still has one more year until kindergarten, but that's the nice thing about Montessori, if she's ready and interested in work, it's all at her fingertips. I look forward to all of the amazing knowledge she will surprise me with next year!
