Our stay in Yokota was nice, but I was ready to get into the city where there was more to do. On our last trip, we visited every tourist spot imaginable, so this time we knew we would take it a little more slowly and focus on things that were more kid friendly.
Yokota offers a daily shuttle down to the New Sanno hotel where we would be staying and we know Ravyn loves her transportation, so we took advantage of it. Now, Yokota is your typical military lodging, with beds that feel like they're 30 years old, decor that isn't much better, and a general "you get what you pay for" vibe. The New Sanno is the polar opposite. It is military lodging, but in 5-star style. In the two times we've visited, Jamie always comments that he feels like he should at least have on a collared shirt because it is so beautiful. 
Once we set down our bags, off we went. Our first stop was Tokyo City Dome.
It is an amusement park, shopping, restaurants, gym, and spa all located next to the Tokyo Dome, where Major League Japanese baseball is played. It's motto is "Self-refreshment in the heart of of Tokyo." We definitely did not feel refreshed walking around with soooo many people, but it really was an all-in-one experience. It could be compared to Victoria Gardens with Knott's berry Farm in the middle.
At 600-800 yen per ride (~$7-10), poor Ravyn didn't get to do much, but she was able to have fun. Her and Dad loved riding the teacups!
And we all enjoyed a ride on the giant Ferris wheel. The view from the Ferris wheel was great even if the weather wasn't! And the best part was that each capsule had it's own juke box that you could choose which music you wanted to hear. Even with the instructions in English, we still couldn't figure it out, but the idea was amazing.
And since Tokyo is the electronics capital, I wasn't disappointed. Check out this bathroom sink. Fully automated soap, faucet, and dryer in one!!!
