After the terrible weather, the next day was beautiful so we rented a car and went to the Tama Zoo. We had no idea what to expect, but it was one of the places everyone recommended we go, so we went. We were not disappointed! The zoo is like nothing I have ever seen with rolling hills and a closeness I have never seen without a cage interrupting my view. I Googled the zoo in the link above and found out that it is actually a world renowned zoo for displaying animals in their natural environment.
The most interesting part had to be the lion exhibit. As you can see, it's a huge lions den, but unique because you can take a bus ride through it. Of course the lions have become comfortable with the bus, so they come right up to the windows to look at us as we're looking at them. Ravyn and I hopped on the bus ourselves and this is what we saw. Incredible!!
